Duties & Responsibilities: (Include the following: other duties may be assigned)
As a member of a clinical team in a CLIA-certified high complexity laboratory, the Immunohistochemistry Laboratory Technician II will be responsible for performing maintenance and monitoring of laboratory equipment, process quality control, and will perform data entry of patient and specimen information.  Cutting, embedding, grossing, and staining histology specimens will be included but not limited in these duties.  Other tasks include filing and long- term storage of patient slides and blocks.  This position is best suited to someone desiring to work in a proactive team environment that places strong emphasis on providing accurate and timely information to physicians.

Location: South Side - Pittsburgh, PA - Department: Clinical Laboratory

Duties & Responsibilities: (Include the following: other duties may be assigned)
As a member of a clinical team in a CLIA-certified high complexity laboratory, the Clinical Laboratory Technician II will also be responsible for performing all aspects of chemoresponse testing, including but not limited to, preparation of microtiter plates, anticancer agent treatment and removal, immunocytochemistry, processing of specimens, maintenance of primary cell cultures, and operating lab computers for data entry and analysis.  The Clinical Laboratory Technician II will have the opportunity to take a leadership role in identifying and developing areas for process optimization of the clinical process, and mentoring new employees. The Clinical Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for assisting the QA team in maintaining and improving the quality system and quality practices while upholding regulatory standards.  This will be accomplished through monitoring and trending performance, performing risk assessments and root cause analysis and implementing controlled changes.

The Key Account Manager (KAM) builds and maintains relationships with strategically important customers.  Assigned 10-15 customers; the KAM is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives (SAO’s).  The KAM represents the entire range of company products and services to the customer, and ensuring customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.  The KAM will report to a Sr. Director of Key Accounts or VP Sales.

 

KAM will be responsible for developing assigned customers within multiple geographic regions.  Strategic thinking, planning and research will be a critical indicator of success in this position.  The KAM will be in an advisory/consultant role with KOL’s, physicians, pathologists, hospital administration and payers. The KAM will be evaluated by quarterly Strategic Account Objectives (SAO’s) that will be put in place by the Sr.  Director/VP Sales.
