The Opportunity:

Helomics is a Precision medicine company located in Pittsburgh, PA. Our mission is to improve the standard of care for cancer patient's (especially gynecological) by harnessing the power of the patients own living tumor to help the oncologist guide treatment. Helomics’ CLIA-certified lab provides clinical testing that assists oncologists in individualizing patient treatment decisions, by providing an evidence-based roadmap for therapy. Building on this current clinical test, Helomics is developing the next generation of knowledge based and AI-driven tools for oncologists to help individualize therapy and drive better outcomes for patients.


Clinical Oncology Specialist

  1. Experienced, high caliber Clinical Oncology Specialist, passionate about promoting products for the oncology market that have real patient impact.

  2. The individual will develop relationships with oncologists to establish Helomics as a key partner for providing actionable information to help oncologists guide cancer treatment

  3. As a member of the Helomics team, has a complete understanding of principles, concepts, practices, and standards relating to oncology therapy.

  4. Works under general direction with clinical and senior management to identify and capitalize on opportunities by establishing competency and expertise with the Helomics Precision Oncology Services to effectively communicate with physicians, medical personnel, support staff and customers

  5. This individual will make a huge impact and difference at Helomics as we continue to promote our existing clinical testing and bring new knowledge-based and AI based precision medicine tools to oncologists.

Impact this role will have on Helomics:

  • Initiate all contacts, visits and interested clients and potential clients regarding the Company’s products and addresses any client questions and concerns.

  • Provides medical professionals with support, information, and training on the use of Company products and with staff education, in-services, and technical troubleshooting.

  • Demonstrates a high level of account knowledge and ability to influence a broad set of external stakeholders/healthcare providers to improve patient care

  • Takes on revenue generating projects and goals to support account ownership.

  • Integrates into all accounts, builds trust and relationships, and establishes strong rapport with customers.

  • Demonstrates high quality clinical competence and service to accounts

  • Will foster high trust relationships with customers, including team members.

  • Conducts evaluations and develops sales strategies for all oncology insight opportunities within accounts.

  • Collects and studies information about new and existing products and monitors competitor sales, prices, and products.

  • Attends trade shows where new products and technologies are showcased and conferences to meet other sales representatives and clients and discuss new product developments.

  • Uses clinical expertise to identify customer training and in-service needs with the goal of increasing customer usage, comfort and understating of all Helomics products and services.

  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.


Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand Helomics’ marketplace success:

  • Bachelor’s Degree. - Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a clinical setting.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within Pharmaceutical or Diagnostic Sales

  • Exceptional clinical competence.

  2. Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, verbal, written and presentation skills.

  3. Strong understanding and experience of regulatory issues as they relate to clinical testing

  4. Capable of building strong working relationships with internal/external customers.

  5. Ability to speak to mid-to-large groups (8-50 people) for training, in-servicing, referral provider educational events, mid-level education.

  6. Capable of training and assisting in development process of new hires

  7. Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

  8. Ability to travel approximately 50% within assigned region and/or outside of assigned region as necessary and in-line with local, State and customer COVID-19 restrictions

Preferred: RN with Oncology Experience
