Client Relationship Manager - Oncology

The Opportunity:

Helomics is a personalized medicine company located in Pittsburgh, our mission is to improve the standard of care for cancer patients (especially gynecological) by harnessing the power of the patients own living tumor to help the oncologist guide treatment. We use our unique clinically validated tumor drug response profiling platform, together with the latest genomic tools and knowledge-base of 150,000 tumors, to develop AI-driven predictive models to improve outcomes for the patients of today and tomorrow. Currently, Helomics’ CLIA-certified lab provides clinical testing that assists oncologists in individualizing patient treatment decisions, by providing an evidence-based roadmap for therapy.


Client Relationship Manager - Oncology

  1. Experienced, high caliber Client Relationship Manager. As a member of the Helomics team, has a thorough understanding of principles, concepts, practices, and standards relating to Helomics Precision Oncology Services

  2. Works under general direction with sales and marketing to identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities through targeted outreach by creating competency, comfort and expertise with the Helomics Precision Oncology Services to physicians, medical personnel, support staff and clients within assigned geography.

  3. Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. Exercises independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing work. Seeks to continually improve territory efficiency.

Impact this role will have on Helomics:

  • Provides technical and clinical outreach to targeted accounts.

  • Takes on revenue generating projects and goals to support account ownership and drive uptake of Helomics Precision Oncology services

  • Integrates into key accounts at appropriate levels to build trust, relationships and establish a  strong rapport with clients.

  • Trainer for new Client Relationship personnel.

  • Will foster high trust relationships with customers, including team members.

  • Will begin to conduct training activities and educational in services.

  • Initiate all contacts, visits and interests clients and potential clients in the Company’s products and addresses any client questions and concerns.

  • Provides medical professionals with sales support, information, and training on the use of Helomics Precision Oncology services and with staff education, in-service and technical troubleshooting.

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of assigned accounts and customers to include competitor activity.

  • Conducts evaluations and develops sales strategies for all Precision Oncology Services opportunities within accounts.

  • Collects and studies information about new and existing products and monitors competitor sales, prices and products.

  • Attend trade shows where new products and technologies are showcased and conferences to meet other sales representatives and clients and discuss new product developments.

  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

  • Provides sales support, clinical in-service, training and guidance to current or potential customers.

  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.


Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand Helomics’ marketplace success:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within in a clinical setting in marketing or sales.

  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Capable of building strong working relationships with internal/external customers.

  • Capable of working an unpredictable schedule that may occasionally change on short notice due to schedule changes or delays.

  • Accustomed to tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks.

  • Strong sense of urgency.

  • Ability to speak to mid-to-large groups (8-50 people) for training, in-servicing, referral provider educational events, mid-level education.

  • Capable of training and assisting in development process of new hires within Region (sales and clinical).

  • Capable of engaging customers in selling conversations as needed and as directed by Helomics team.

  • Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

  • Ability to travel approximately 50% within assigned region and/or outside of assigned region.
