Marketing Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Marketing

The Opportunity:

Helomics is an Integrated Clinical Contract Research Organization (ICCRO) located in Lawrenceville, PA. Our mission is to improve the standard of care for cancer patients through innovative research and development partnerships with pharmaceutical, diagnostic, biotechnology, and academic organizations, leading to better and more personalized treatments and diagnostic technologies for human disease. Helomics’ CLIA-certified lab provides clinical testing that assists oncologists and surgeons in individualizing patient treatment decisions. 

 

Job Summary:

The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for designing, creating, and delivering marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of company products and services. Develops sales presentations and provides reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing. This individual will plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, TV etc.) for advertising, and marketing projects and supplying creative support and direction to all internal projects which can be strengthened by design. Individual plans and executes creative work, including presentation design, outward-facing products and documents, marketing materials, and web visuals. Individual works alongside multiple other departments to ensure company products and materials follow a cohesive visual brand identity.

 

Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creates and manages all logos and visual brand elements for the company and its products

  • Designs and implements website changes and updates

  • Organizes, directs, and executes photo shoots, video productions, and post-production editing and acts as the lead with any contractors brought in for such tasks

  • Creates all marketing material for print and digital/web

  • Ensures that any public company appearance (events) includes appropriate visual marketing tools and displays

  • Work with VPs and presenters to ensure presentations adhere to presentation best practices and represent high visual standards, designing overall presentation experience

  • Plans and oversees all printing for marketing materials or other quality prints

  • Create new visuals for social media posts including infographics

  • Bring new ideas for marketing campaigns, assets, and ventures to expand and strengthen Helomics’ presence in personalized medicine / CRO space

  • Maintain open communication with sales team members and provide visual tools to aid sales efforts

  • Assist with copywriting efforts when necessary

  • Brings design perspective to any project on which the individual works

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising or related discipline.

 

Experience:

  • 1-3 years related experience designing brand assets (logos, marketing materials, digital images, websites, etc.) for print and digital ends

  • Quality past work visible in portfolio – Style and skill evident

  • Photography experience a plus

  • Videography/animation experience a plus

  • Web Design experience extremely helpful with knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus

 

Other Skills / Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat (Premiere, AfterEffects, and Animate(Flash) a plus) ; Microsoft PowerPoint & Word ; Social media platforms (Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter)

  • Familiarity with Wix website platform, Google Analytics a plus

  • Excellent design instincts and the ability to tailor them to the Helomics brand (technical but unique and personal) 

  • Quick learner – Individual must be able to jump into the complex world of cancer healthcare and digest high-level information from published studies, self-lead internet research, and conversations with coworkers

  • Very organized – This individual is required to manage projects from multiple departments at once with varying timelines

  • Ability to interact, communicate, and present ideas and to accept criticism as a part of the design process

  • Highly motivated and self-directed

  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities

  • Superior interpersonal skills

  • Tact and sensitivity with confidential information

  • Ability to work independently or in teams

  • Capacity to master new skills quickly, resolve problems efficiently and effectively, and make sound decisions
